Last week i posted an article about Housing Estates in London 

One of the largest estates in Europe is the Elephant and Castle in South London. It is going through a huge transformation right now and i found a really interesting video clip about a project recording the life of residents on the changing estate.

Ive been exploring the wonderful information superhighway (otherwise known as Web2.0) for some good resources for Toefl students here is what i have found.
I started looking for items relating to the speaking exam
The first site is via Youtube and its a slightly scarey American called Steve Ford who gives you some tips which i think would be helpful

Another possible resource via Youtube are some model answers being given by students and teachers
check this one for example …

Some of us started to watch the film Control – the story of Joy Division and Ian Curtis

If you look here you will see that there is a new film – documentary about Joy Divison which opens in London this week – we are just so topical!

I found this trailer for the film

and also some material of the band in action from back in the day

if you want to see some more of Lancashire’s finest street poet John Cooper Clarke in action just look here…inexplicably he appeared in an advert for Sugar Puffs in the 80’s

but here he is reading chickentown … which appeared in the film
