  The Exame’s reporting shows the changes observed in the brazilian economy in the last decades like the growing number of women in the work market, the growing number of couples without children, the growing number of persons living alone, the growing number of middle age consumers and the growing expectation of life.
  These changes, in general, took place first in the most developed countries, and only recently arrived in the countries in development. The women are working out of home due to a modification of culture because it was useful think that the women had the responsibility of take care of the home, the children, the increase of knowledges got in a greater number of years in school, and the need of complement the family’s budget.
  The growing number of couples without children is due to the decision of men and women of obtaining better positions in their career, and to enjoy life more intensity, going out at nights and traveling. The said growing number of persons living alone need new researches because it is told that the young people is living with their parents for a longer time.
  All these changes brings opportunities for the enterprises, because each type of the family has particular needs. The women in work market leads to bigger consumption of food in fast food restaurants and shopping of ready dishes in supermarkets. The persons that lives alone need products in a little quantity and small but confortable apartments. The old persons with good levels of income offers opportunities to the healthy sector, to the tourism sector that must create specific services and products for them.
  The changes pointed in the reporting means the emerging market segments associated to the development of our country.
